Kathryn Derby joined
Rickaby Thompson Associates Ltd in 2006 as a graduate
in Environmental Sciences from the University of East Anglia.
During her studies Kathryn developed a particular interest in renewable
energy technologies, looking particularly at practical issues of energy
efficient building construction and domestic energy technologies.
Kathryn's final year dissertation reported research into solar water
heating, monitoring the performance of systems and consumer attitudes
to them.
Kathryn is an accredited On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor
(OCDEA) through the National Home Energy Rating (NHER) scheme and a
Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor.
She has particular experience of Building Regulations, Part L1A and L1B
compliance assessments including new dwellings and the refurbishment,
extension and change-of-use of existing dwellings.
